We've been here for a bit over a day now. We are staying in the strangest place yet. A ground floor elongated apartment with no real rooms... but many suggestive murals and lots of street noise. Fun! Yesterday we got in fairly late and only had time to wander around our neighborhood. Luckily our neighborhood is beautiful and we were able to spend sunset at an incredible park. I'm assuming it has a name, but we didn't find it.
There was a Katey Perry concert happening on the other side of all these pictures, so it's best to imagine them within the context of long lines of super amped up pre-teens and lot of bass.
Today, we walked around some of the more touristy areas, had two delightful lunches (you guys, cured meat is great), and tried to find a bar which was recommended by our Barcelona trip planners Liz and Joel. Unfortunately, it was closed which motivated us to return to our neighborhood where we found a great place serving local beers with the added bonus of fantastic people watching. Look how happy Matt is:
Tomorrow we split up and Matt goes to the Sagrada Familia while I check out the National Museum of Catalonia Art. Thursday we head to Cordoba... any advice is welcome.
